Who am I?

I am Harry McNeil and I have been a student at Oxford Brookes University for roughly 14 months. I study Media, Journalism and Publishing.

I currently work at the Fatface store in Oxford city centre. My previous jobs include working as a greenkeeper at a golf course, greengrocer and a cocktail mixologist for the Bombay Sapphire Distillery.

What do I like?

One of my favourite sports has always been football. I like almost everything to do with football, playing it and watching it. My favourite team is Liverpool football club.

I have a big passion for travelling and exploring new places I haven't been to before, there are loads of places I would love to go to. Iceland, Peru, and Indonesia are just some of the many places I would like to visit. Last year I travelled to Australia and Asia.

This year I have started boxing.

In my summers I enjoy going to the beach to relax and surf.

Something I love about summer are music festivals. Nearby to where I live I go to Boomtown Festival every summer, due to the fact that they show a vast range of music.

Where do I live?

I was born in Southampton. I then moved to a village called Overton which is 20 minutes north of the former capital city of England, known as Winchester. I live in Headington within Oxford when studying throughout the semester at Oxford Brookes University.

What are my projects?

During the national lockdown, myself and others on the Media, Journalism and Publishing course worked on a news based project known as Exist News. My reason for starting Exist was to focus on my writing, design skills and communication skills, while working in a team, to create something respected and consistent. Applying what we learn from our course, I believe we can create something that we can all be proud of in the near future.
